Should You Let Your Kid Have A YouTube Channel?

 Should your kid have a youtube channel? 

Well, let's start with the first thing that we should get out of the way, Youtube is 13+, so anyone under 13 would not be on youtube. Thats it, if they are under 13 don't let them be on youtube, because that would be against youtube rules, wait til they are 13 then let them on youtube. Now that that's out of the way.

So you could make it so they can't be on youtube when they are over 13 even tho its a 13+ app and youtube would be ok with them on the app, but once they are 18+ you can't stop them, no matter what you do or say they are able to do whatever they want because they are an adult. But also, when they are 13+ but still under 18 you should let them on youtube, you can still make sure they aren't getting into things they aren't supposed to get into, you can turn on restricted mode so they can't watch 18+ videos. 18+ videos need you to be on a channel that is 18+, you can't watch them without confirming you are 18 or over. 

Here is how to turn on restricted mode (this is for PC): 

1. Get on the channel you want to use

2. Click on the channel icon on the top right of the screen

3. Here you can quickly enable and disable restricted mode

You can make sure they aren't doing things they aren't supposed to but also try not to be too overprotective, kids need to make mistakes, that is how they learn and grow.
