How To Look (And Act) Like A Merperson
We should start on how to look like a merperson, merpeople have a specific look to them.
1. Wear clothes with colors from the ocean/sea, blue, green, coral, orange, yellow, indigo, red, aqua, pink, purple, grey, black, etc. Wear a seashell top or something with fish scales on it. You could wear a pencil skirt or a mermaid dress.
2. Get a mermaid tail, there are mermaid tails you can buy and you can swim like a mermaid. There are cloth ones that are cheap but if you want one that is more realistic then you could get a silicone one that costs more money.
3. Wear makeup that gives off that mermaid vibe, blues and greens work great. If you are going in the water make sure you wear waterproof makeup. (optional)
4. You could dye your hair a color that can make you look like a mermaid. (optional)
5. Wear mermaid/ocean/sea-themed jewelry. Seashells, coral, sea glass, sea stars, pearls, etc.
6. Make your hair wavy to make it look like it just dried from being in the water.
7. A merperson would probably want to wear shoes that are easy to take off, so stick to casual, open-toed shoes.(optional)
8. Paint your nails a color from the ocean/sea. (optional)
9. Wear body glitter (optional)
10. Don't wear too much, you don't want to go overboard with it and look tacky. Try not to wear plastic or cheap-looking accessories since real merpeople don't wear plastic.
Extra tips: Get makeup and accessories that are humanely sourced and good for the environment. A merperson would never want to pollute the ocean or hurt animals.
How to act like a merperson:
1. If you can you could live by the ocean/sea and stare longingly out to the water. (optional)
2. Get a fish tank and have pet fish in it, a merperson would want to be near their friends. (optional)
3. Make friends who are also mermaids.
4. If you can sing then you should sing when you can, merpeople are known for their beautiful voices. (optional)
5. Swim, swim a lot, if you don't know how then you should learn, a merperson has to know how to swim.
6. A merperson would be worried about letting out their secret that they are a merperson. So when there is water around you should be worried about it. Stay away from water and if you do get wet then you need to dry off fast before your secret gets out.
7. Merpeople are nice and care about other loving things and the ocean, use little to no plastic and try to recycle and throw away when you can.
8. You could buy perfume, candles, body wash/shampoo/conditioner, and lotion that smell like the ocean/sea. (optional)
9. Learn about the ocean/sea as much as you can so you know what you are talking about when someone asks.
10. Don't eat fish because they're your friends. When you see people eating fish you can look discussed at them.
11. Collect sand in a jar for your room so it will feel like you have a part of the ocean with you.
12. Listen to songs about merpeople or the ocean/sea
13. Put ocean/sea decor in your room/house.
14. Make a merperson diary. (optional)
15. Act weird on a full moon, the moon and the ocean/sea are connected, so it will mess with merpeople too.
16. Don't get mermaids and sirens mixed up.
