Discontinued And Controversial Toys That Showed Up In The Barbie Movie (and ones that didn't show up in the movie)

So after seeing the Barbie movie some people might be wondering what are all the discontinued and controversial Barbie toys? Some of these toys showed up in the Barbie Movie.

Allan

Allen was introduced in 1964 as Ken's best friend. In 1992, Alan and Midge dolls were featured in booklets holding baby twins. They were wearing casual, matching outfits, with Midge holding their baby girl and Alan holding their baby boy. Alen showed up here and there through the years but didn't show up too much.

Barbie and Tanner

Barbie and Tanner were released in 2006 and discontinued in 2010, They were discontinued because Tanner had magnet poop, and with every kid's thing there will be kids who will eat it and magnets are one of the worst things to eat.

Pregnant Midge

She came out in 2002, and parents hated that kids would play with a pregnant doll, they thought kids would want to get pregnant just because they had a doll who was pregnant. When that isn't how that works.

Barbie Video Girl
Mattel discontinued the Video Girl Barbie doll in 2012, just a couple years after she was released. even though nothing horrible happened with the doll, people were still worried about their kids being spied on with the camera.

Earring Magic Ken

Magic Earring Ken was introduced in 1993. People call him Gay Ken and Fey Ken, for obvious reasons, and the fact that a lot of gay people loved this doll when it came out.

Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken

Sugar Daddy Ken was discontinued in 2012 three years after it was launched, it seems that the suggestive name was a factor. But the doll was a different kind of sugar daddy. The dog was called Sugar and often times people call themselves the parent of their fur babies.

Growing Up Skipper

Growing up Skipper was discontinued for obvious reasons, Karens hated that kids were learning about normal things that happen to your body. Karens would rather never talk about puberty, even tho it happens to pretty much everyone.

Now for the ones that weren't in the movie...

Teen Talk Barbie

This Barbie was removed because she could say things. "Math is hard" was one of these things, you could see why this was a problem.

Barbie Babysitter

This Barbie wasn't really bad or anything but the book she came with was the bad part, it was about losing weight and said "Don't Eat!" on it. Who thought that was ok?

Share a Smile Becky

Including everyone is great so this barbie was a good idea, but her wheelchair couldn't fit in the elevator in the barbie dreamhouse. So Mattel had to fix it.

Slumber Party Barbie

This one is controversial because the scale says 110, and that isn't really a normal weight for most adults, that is underweight for most people.

Computer Engineer Barbie

This one makes Barbie look like a helpless idiot who only ruins computers and needs a man to help her with everything,

Totally Tattoo Barbie

Having tattoos isn't really a bad thing, but when you put a tattoo on a doll right above their butt and this doll is for kids, then it becomes a problem and makes parents mad.

Mexican Barbie

This one is a horrible stereotype for obvious reasons.

Oreo Barbie

For the people who don't know, Oreo is a
derogatory term for black people who "act white", like black on the outside and white on the inside. so you can see why that was not great to see.

Girl Scout Barbie

Girl Scouts partnered with Barbie to make a
Girl Scout Barbie, doesn't seem horrible right, but some people complained that Barbie isn't a good role model.

Did i miss any that you think should be on this list?
